The requirement

From damaged asset to operational expedition vessel.

The vessel required extensive rebuild and recommissioning before it could support long-range, self-sufficient offshore and expedition use.

Delivery required technical recovery, operational planning and a practical route from refit activity to sustained use in remote environments.

BMP role

Refit + recommissioning

Coordinate recovery work, technical priorities, specialist inputs and the practical sequence to return the vessel to service.

Mobilization + readiness

Prepare equipment, stores, systems, documentation and crew routines for offshore and remote deployment.

Vessel operations

Lead passage planning, command, maintenance coordination and operational decision-making through sustained use.

Expedition support

Integrate vessel capability with expedition objectives, field logistics, access planning and changing conditions.

Physical asset. Operational system. Delivered project.

Technical + operational connection

Technical work was tied directly to the operating model, not treated as a separate refit exercise.

Self-sufficiency

Systems, equipment, stores and routines were developed for extended operation away from conventional support.

Continuity

The delivery approach maintained a clear line from rebuild decisions through mobilization and operational use.
