Passage + vessel readiness
Ocean passage planning, weather, vessel readiness, stores, equipment, spares and self-sufficiency for extended remote operations.
Polar expeditions
Expedition delivery where offshore passage-making, remote vessel access, field logistics and mountain objectives had to operate as one integrated plan.
First ascents supported in Antarctica + Greenland
The requirement
Remote polar expeditions require more than reaching a destination by sea. Vessel capability, weather, anchorages, landing access, equipment, communications, permits, field movement and contingency arrangements must all support the expedition objective.
BMP Principal experience includes planning and delivering vessel-supported sailing-and-climbing expeditions where the yacht operated as transport, logistics platform, accommodation, communications base and recovery point for remote field teams.
Delivery scope
Ocean passage planning, weather, vessel readiness, stores, equipment, spares and self-sufficiency for extended remote operations.
Identify practical vessel access, anchorages, landing options and operating constraints in remote polar environments.
Coordinate expedition equipment, ski and glacier access, field movement, communications and support requirements from vessel to objective.
Integrate weather margins, alternative access, communications, recovery options and vessel support into the operating plan.
Delivery evidence
Antarctica
Mount Bridgman first-ascent expedition
Greenland
Mirror Wall first-ascent expedition
Panama
Integrated maritime and remote logistics for conservation survey
Remote delivery
Passage, access, equipment, communications + contingency
The vessel and the field team cannot be planned independently. Route, weather, access, equipment, timing and recovery decisions affect both sides of the operation.
Ocean passage, vessel readiness, remote anchorages and sustained support.
Landing, equipment movement, ski/glacier access and expedition logistics.
Decisions, communications and contingencies managed across vessel and field operations.

View expeditionWhat this demonstrates
The vessel, landing location and field objective must be considered as one operating system.
Equipment, stores, communications and recovery requirements influence what can realistically be delivered.
Weather, ice, access and field conditions require disciplined contingency planning and practical decision-making.
Publications + media
The polar expedition work has also been documented through maritime, climbing and expedition publications and sponsor media.
